KZbin has changed the way they monetize my content. My channel now needs 1,000 subscribers so it would be amazing if you could show your support by both watching my videos and subscribing to my channel! Monetizing my videos allows me to invest back into the channel with new equipment to improve the viewing quality so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me :-) Many thanks for your support!

Great tip on putting the drill in reverse! I tried doing this once and was super scared out of my mind when the foam came in contact with the drill. I watched a ton of tutorials and no one ever gave that tip. You're awesome....thanks for shedding a lot of light on this process 👍🇹🇹

Your “gardening shears” are actually metal shears where I come from and growing up we referred to them on the farm as “tin snips”. I just recently discovered your channel and I am enjoying your videos. Nice to get info on upholstery techniques from the UK.

great video, as others have said, watched many but you get on with it, no distractions of playing silly games, good vid. I have a question, what depth foam have you used? And, How much does the diamond on the fabric grow compared to the diamond on the foam based on foam depth, so if you had deeper foam would it still be that inch and quarter or more? is there some formula? thanks
@faceliftinteriors
@faceliftinteriors 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Darren, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for watching mate, it’s really appreciated! I used 2 inch foam on this one, which is what I generally use for deep buttoned headboards. As all fabrics are different and some stretch and some don’t, the best thing to do is take a spare piece of the fabric you’re using and staple down into the holes and create a diamond with pleats. Then take that off and measure how big your diamond is and apply that to the rest of them. Then you shouldn’t go wrong. I hope this makes sense!

Thanks for a great tutorial. I have looked everywhere on the internet to get the drill bit that you use but can't find one without the wood drill in the middle (presumably used for a pilot hole in wood). Can you point me in the right direction please. Thanks

Hi Alison! Try searching for a ‘holesaw’ drill bit. The one I use is a 32mm drill bit. I hope that helps 😊👍🏻

@faceliftinteriors
@faceliftinteriors 3 жыл бұрын
@@alanahamson2928 Hi Alana, thanks for watching! It should be fine. I usually use 19mm buttons and a 32mm drill bit but as long as the holes you make in the foam are larger than the buttons, it should be fine!

@faceliftinteriors

Hi! Thanks for watching 😊 it depends how many diamonds you want to do as obviously the more diamonds, the more fabric you’d need but I’d say about 3 meters should cover a king sized headboard. Hope that helps 😊👍🏻
