I am running a connection between 2 factories. In one factory I have a 8 port POE switch that will power 6 cameras via Cat6 cable while the distance I have deployed fibre optic with media converter, can the fibre optic that is connected to 5 cameras be connected to the same POE switch with media converter at the end of the fibre? 2ndly, can i use a CPE to transmit all data from the first factory to the next facctory where the nvr is installed. In a nutshell i am asking if POE switch can connect to another POE switch.

If both of your switches have at least one SFP port, you can connect them directly using SFP modules and fiber optic cables. If your switch only has Ethernet ports, then you'll also need to use a media converter. @@Fastcabling Thank you. The line of sight is very clear and it is not more than 250m. The main area of confusion is how I can configure the POE switches especially when 4 cameras connected to a POE switch is connected to another POE switch in the control room.

Can you explain ip camera with CPE for 1000ft distances sir?

Two CPEs pair up as network link. What you need to do is to connect the IP camera to one end, then you can have video from another end. The CPE use VLAN to seperate the protocols network and data network. Basically it is transparent to data network (IP camera).
