How To Use a 2015 Smart Car Cruise Control

Hi, on my journey with my n"new to me" Smart 453 ForFour I thought I'd share some of my early frustrations or struggles. nothing serious, just the things you have to adapt to when you get a new car.
Todays video is of the Smart 453 Cruise Control System, and how I actually use it. Its a little different to the BMW X1 Hybrid and Hyundai Kona Electric EV I have so, it threw me a little on my drive back.
I have spoken to some people and they don't feel comfortable using cruise, the booklets don't clearly explain how to use it so, I thought, while im waiting for the new front brake discs and pads to arrive as well as the better weather, I'd try and take away some of the mysteries behind how to use the Smart 453 Cruise Control System.
I find it second nature now and use it a LOT!!

hello, i have been following your work, very good! I have a Smart Fortwo 451 cdi, and I ask, please, make a video explaining how to lower the height of the seat, the seat, not the back. any chance of doing something? And how to dismantle all the exterior panels of the car. And also how to disassemble the dashboard and console of the car. thanks and good work, your help is very important.

Hi. thank you for your support. I am very flattered. I no longer have a 451 I’m sorry. The seat itself cannot be lowered. As for the panels… the doors are relatively easy The front and back though are complete units. I have removed the front once to replace and remove the headlamp. The wings and front bumper are a complete unit and not separate. Very fiddly and very time consuming.

Hey, thanks for the video, this may be a silly question but do you keep your foot on the acceleration when in cruise control? How does it work? Or do you still keep your foot on the accelerator but it regulates the cars speed for you?

Hi so, you push the accelerator pedal to get to your desired speed. Say 50mph. First flick the left hand button on the steering wheel to cruise, then on the right hand button, hit the + symbol. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal and it will keep that speed until you hit the brakes or move the left hand switch back to centre. Hope that makes sense?
