Dollar Tee has a black teardrop sponge. I randomly bought one and I love it. I probably have 5 or 6 now. I’m sure a professional like yourself could find fault with it but for me it does what it was made to do. I’m just an ordinary person who enjoys wearing makeup so If I can find a cheap makeup tool that I think works well, then score one for me. I really enjoy your tutorials. You help things make sense. Have a blessed weekend😊

I'm a 50-something woman, blessed with good skin so never paid much attention to skin care and make up. However, time marches on and it is time for me to be more mindful. Thank you so much for making your videos so clear and easy to understand!

I’ve learned how to damp and squish my blender into a tissue-which I’ve learned from past videos from Nina of course! I’ve tried a bunch of sponges because beauty blender is so expensive but I agree with Nina- beauty blender is the best, so I spend the money on it. Ty for the video today Nina. Hi Nina another wonderful video! I always go back to the Beauty Blender too. On my mature skin I usually don't start on the forehead I start on the cheeks where most of my pigmentation is. Also my forehead is a spot where I want the least product so I do my cheek then go to forehead with anything left over on the sponge so I get less product. Also I have to be so careful with all the silver hair around my hairline lol. Love your videos Nina thank you! xo Jackie

I accidentally washed and dried my beauty blenders it turned into a happy accident. All that happened to my beauty blenders was that the washing machine cleaned the beauty blender, and the dryer shrunk it down to his original shape. Since that happened I’ve been washing and drying them regularly and my breakouts have gone down from using them as I use a fully washed one every few days. I wash mine either with my whites with bleach, or with my synthetics with a little bit of ammonia. (don’t forget to never mix those -throwback to chemistry class)

Your videos are really helpful, especially for a novice like me. I have a question: can one apply foundation with slightly damp brushes? A while back, I was applying foundation with cheap makeup sponges that I got from the dollar store, but then my cosmetologist applied foundation on me once with a brush and I liked that better, so now I've been using brushes. But I'm not sure that I get anywhere near the flawless finish that you do. So my second question, as I don't have a lot of money to spend on makeup stuff: how many uses can one get out of a beauty blender, since they're fairly expensive?
@NinaUbhi1

So nice to hear you like my videos! Yes you can use a slightly damp brush as long as the bristles are not leaving brush marks on skin, a buffing brush may work better. A beauty blender can last around 6 months as long as you look after it. But Real Techniques is another alternative. Hope this helps! 😊

after you use the blender, do you also clean it with water and then dry it? Or how do you prefer cleaning it?

What if you used a contouring powder instead of creamy concealer does it work well too when you put foundation on top?

Nina, how do I clean the sponge?

So I've actually used a wet android make up sponge and today. I used it dry and it came out perfectly flawless. I feel like if you want more of a matlock. You should use it dry and it doesn't suck up the makeup like people say it. Does it actually looks really good? I. Would? If you want. Dewey? I would do a wet one

Also, do you have videos for people with aging skin, IE people over 50, and also videos on how to do contouring especially for fair skin?

Why does it do if it’s wet ? Does it make it more of a matte finish ?
