I am a big fan of Carinthia products. Can you pack the sleeping bag and the sleeping pad within the bivy bag and put them all in a stuff sack and then in your backpack? That would make for really fast packing in the morning.

Nice equipment but the prices are insane

I don't understand why the bivy is more than 3x more $ than the sleeping bag. I think as do most people this product is a hard no for me at $650 carinthia needs to drop the price alot before I'd ever buy this.

I assume that the answer must be "3-layer Gore-Tex membrane".

It's a hard no for you but for people like me that rely on this shit to make sure I don't fucking die it's worth the money. Hell, I shell out a thousand euro for the micro tent.

For casual tourism, there are cheaper options available with tents. However, you will understand the value of this setup when you find yourself in conditions near the battlefield, like in my case in Ukraine. Nothing is too expensive when it comes to sleeping in comfort, especially when rain, wind, and snow 365 days in a row - in other words, harsh conditions - change constantly in open fields. I made a huge mistake initially by buying cheap, no-name gear, which was completely unusable in such a harsh environment. After purchasing this setup, including the inflatable mat and ground pad, nothing, anywhere, is capable of preventing you from getting a good night's rest. It's reliable equipment

$1000?! Out of your minds.

Yes, I agree. Snugpac make a bivvy bag, supposedly for the Special Forces, that costs around $80, $1,000 is definitely overpriced.
