I have had my black and decker coffee pot for a long time now. Not going to try and guess exactly how long but it’s been a while lol. I just did really look at it the today and realized I could set it to start automatically! Then I couldn’t figure out how in the world to do it and I found your video!!! So thank you sooo much lol 😂 I feel like I have a brand new coffee maker now !!

@@nelsonhelmutt5076 no it's automatically set to shut after 2 hours. In fact the Cuisinart model is the only one I know of so far that allows users to set shut off times.

Just know it will go off about 2 hrs later, and just go the buttons at about 1hr 50min turn it OFF, count to 10, turn it on and it will stay on for 2 more hrs....and just keep repeating this action to have hot coffee continuously.

Thanks, but what I'd really like is to get rid of that auto shut-off. I'm tired of my 2nd cup of coffee being cold. Just 2 hours run time is not enough. It should be more like 4 or better yet, have the option to turn it completely off.

I just bought one at Salvation Army for $2.99. $3.16 total. I washed it with soap detergent and cleaned it up. It looks brand new. I don’t drink coffee. But got it because I love the smell of it.

I follow all the correct steps (I use paper filters, btw) and yet find a lot of coffee grinds at the base of my caraffe. What am I doing wrong? Does anyone else experience this? (I do put 1 Tblspoon per each cup. 5 cups water/5Tblspns. HELP!!!!! lol thanks in advance. :)

your filters could be too small ( the packs of filter at Dollar Tree are perfect), and could be You have too much Coffee in the filter. No more than 6-7 spoonful is good.

Sorry for the double comment, but, I've been using this coffee maker for some time now and I can't deal with that 2 hour auto shutoff. This one is going to the Salvation Army store or the first friend who wants it. Maybe I can find an older maker at a garage sale. Something made before this awful idea.

Sounds like you want a coffee maker that stays on all the time maybe? Consider the older basic one-switch non-programmable Mr. Coffee models that requires to be manually switched in order to shut off. Edit: Another idea would be an electric percolator such as the Presto model which I did a demo on this channel.

@@CounterClutter My wife bought a BUNN. That's what I really wanted all along but didn't want to spend the money. We had one before and it lasted about 12 years. BUNN makers have a warming plate that stays on until you shut it off. I guess they have a built-in safety feature for those who forget to turn them off. I did that often with our old BUNN. Try one sometime, they're great.

@@CounterClutter BUNN SBS Speed Brew Select Coffee Maker, Black, 10 Cup, 55800.0001 It's the lowest cost BUNN at Walmart. Personally, I don't need all that programing found in some coffee makers. Also, BUNN gives a much better tasting coffee (in my opinion). No metallic taste.
