I'm afraid I agree with the comments that say fire starters are unnecessary. The whole point of these chimneys is to use paper, which doesn't stink of paraffin.

You don't need fire starter. That's what the coal chimney is for. A bit of paper works fine.

Yep. I moved 5 years ago, and I'm still using the packing paper I saved just for this purpose! My lighter is a Bernzomatic torch. Makes it so much easier to light, especially if the paper has absorbed a little humidity.@@Jay-ej8lu
