Just in case, there may be anyone who has had various episodes of rage (like me👹) cause the stupid washing machine was NOT filling/not working or doing something weird. I would like to let you know that if you try to start a cycle on the precise fill..it will NOT work whatsoever in the world, unless it is set to bulk items. He said to add detergent directly into the drum (where you put your clothes). So directly into the drum before you put your clothes in.

@malevolence8243 fabric softener is usually added to the fabric softener compartment. Detergent is added usually to the drum of the washer before adding the clothes in top loading washing machines.

Thanks for the video however my owners manual recommends adding the laundry detergent or pods on top of the load rather than adding it to the bottom of the washer. Why is this?

For me, the most bad experience so far. Once we were installing the washer, we noticed it was a used one. Also, I didn't receive the installation kit. Bought the set, and the dryer was used as well, with a disgusting used filter and the best part, stopped working at the 3rd load.. the worst experience..

So I’ve had my set a week I washed 2 loads started a 3rd but it didn’t complete the washing cycle my fabric softener is still in the center of the washer so this is how I know it didn’t complete.. I just bought this washer. How come I have to push rhe fabric softner and the on button to turn it on? Why cant I just push rhe ON button. Also: Could you show the washer running? To me it is quite noisy, so Im not sure its the way its supposed to be or not. Also it seems like no matter how how well I put the clothing in, the washer becomes unbalanced during the spin cycles. You must have a auto sensor that does that for you. They say not to keep lifting the lid while it is filling, as that may confuse the sensor somehow.

My GE washing machine is a joke! If I have it on hot it barely fills the “HUGE” barrel with water! Same on “warm water”. But fills perfectly on ice cold water and then it doesn’t get the clothes clean at all! So wonder the soap companies are pushing scented laundry soap or scented dryer sheets! We are now installing another hot water line by the washer itself so we can fill the barrel with hot water! Never again GE! I will get a “Ringer washer” (yes, they are still out there,) before I ever buy a Ge washing machine again!

Bleach is hard on clothes, they won't last long, so I never use it! I have read about the cycles & watched this & other videos, and still find the "cycle" to select confusing. I've done 2 small loads with my new GE washer so far & the biggest problem is lint left on the clothes. I just re-washed a load with more water, but not the deep rinse, and am going to see how it did now. : )

I too have the same model, and it's the worst washer I ever had !!! Shame on you, GE ! I'll NEVER buy another washer from you. The only reason I bought it in the first place was because it has an agitator. My whites come out so grey it's ridiculous. I've tried every kind of detergent, including Tide, to no avail. And that lock lid is the most annoying thing ever. 😠

Speed wash is really dumb. Just let it go thru at its normal cycle. If anything, in time it will throw the mechanism off.

I agree 100 % piece of trash. It is going too damn far when a washing controls us. Who ever came up with this idea hasn’t got a clue how to do laundry. Mine decides how much water according to what you choose. You never get enough water this is the very reason the things don’t work properly because there is not enough water on mine only damp not unless you add water. we should be able to just push a button like we always did small, medium, large. I would never buy that piece of junk again use to be a good company, brand , certainly not any more, it is the most aggravating piece of trash along with stove , fridge, never ever again. I live alone these appliances are not cheap. I take care of my appliances keep them looking like new it isn’t fair because there is no a thing that can be done about it. I hope the company goes bankrupt as costumers we are ripped off, they are a big company we are just people scraping by it is a shame they are allowed to put appliances on the market of such poor quality. We don’t need a complicated washer, drier who are you trying to kid simplify it we don’t need the aggravation thank you very much. We want to enjoy a washing day instead of putting up our blood pressure because it is aggravation time again every single time, torture.
