Thanks guys. I was debating on getting a gimbal but the tip of resting legs on chest is super helpful. And you're absolutely right about the Gorrillapod being a much less expensive option and more portable.

The tip of putting one leg in each shoulder is actually very helpful. I've bought a cheaper gorillapod imitation to use when some stabilization is needed, I mostly do photography, but it's nice to have that in mind for video making.
