We used the Land Plane (Land Leveler) to finish our drainage ditch around the Pole Barn. I think the ditch turned out properly! The Truth will be in the water flow. Time will tell if we know how to build a ditch correctly.

Great video Tony. Like the drone footage. Making water drain where you want can be a pain. But it’s really awesome when it rains and you see everything you done is working.

Good video Tony! Water movement around buildings and driveways is a puzzle for sure! We used a mixture of french drains and gutters to divert water around ours....it was not anything we had thought about or budgeted for in time or money either!!

If you had a grading bucket for your backhoe it would be a little bit faster, but you did get it done.

I disagree. Tractor backhoes of this size don't have enough reach. I would be constantly getting on and off the tractor to move it.

I think it will do well. We did the original grade using a laser level and have already seen water running correctly. It looks like it may be a while before we see water running again. This is the worst drought I have seen in about 10 years.

Looking good, that tiller run down the length of the each side of the swale sure worked well to loosen things up. Quite the dirty job it made it, but sure it made the rest of the work easier. Turning out nice, have a good one!!

It sure looks nice now. I do hope it works out as you planned. I don’t see why it won’t, but as you said, water does sometimes surprise us. I got a toad strangler rain for a short today and 3 of my downspouts that are supposed to carry the water away we’re bubbling up. Apparently I have a blockage down slope. Time to learn on my backhoe I guess. Thankfully it is only 40’ or so. Other issues as well. French drain?

Thank you. We are going to have many more drainage projects on property as we move forward. I should really be a problem by the end of all of these projects. I still respect water because it sometimes will do things you don't think it will.

I would like your opinion as you have both a box blade and land plane. I have only ever had box blades. I have recently purchased a new tractor and I need new implements and wondering what you would suggest a box blade or a land plane. I would get a land plane with rippers if I were to get one. I would be using the implement for gravel driveway maintenance and general land grading and clearing. I do currently have a rear blade also. I have a 75 horse category 2 tractor so my implements have gotten very expensive so if I'm going to buy one I will probably for now only buy one implement. Just wondering what you would recommend a box blade or a land plane
@TonysTractorAdventure

I would buy a box blade first. It is more versatile.
