Which mode is the best to cure teeth. If I'm using the on off on off blinking mode do I have to double the curing time?

Dear Doctor, If a blinking (pulsed) mode is used, it typically delivers less total energy over the same duration as continuous mode. Therefore, curing time must be increased to achieve the same degree of polymerization. Continuous mode is typically the best for speed and predictable results, especially for surface layers and thin restorations. Pulsed or soft-start modes are better for large restorations to reduce shrinkage and heat buildup. Team Dentalkart

@dentalkart yeah I figured that I should do soft start like 5 seconds. Than 10 seconds pulsing, than another 5 or more seconds full. That was the best one for fixing my teeth 😀

3 20 24 ... i have some clear resin via Aventik Edison Design. the kit from Amazon came with a uV lite & 3 each 1/3 oz bottles. their applications are more for gluing and gap filling. with no mention of dental uses . on experimenting i spread 1 cm by 2mm wide resin on my thunb nail and uV 'd it for 5 sec .. it got uncomfortably warm / hot. does the resin used in your video get hot too on uV activation ? i need to put a temp patch on a front tooth where a previous 4 year old patch broke off last week. to patch it with the Aventik resin i have a '?' ... should it be done with a very thin resin application , less than 1 mm layer at a time ? ...... to keep any heat build-up to a low level ? my DDS appt is not for almost a month. thus i thot it good to cover the tooth up to protect it
