If your declination is 9 degrees west of true north, you must turn it 9 degrees **EAST** to compensate correctly.

yes way out .. his direction of travel didnt match at all . simple way point arrow at direction of travel , note the deg number and go

This video is incorrect. He turned his fixed declination compass bezel the wrong direction according to his westerly declination and what he was trying to do (going from map/TN to field/MN). A great way to remember the correct way to do it...the LARS method.

Couldn’t follow what you were saying. You actually point/touch the item you’re talking about. You run through the pieces of the compass quickly then expect us to remember them as you talk.
