I'm starting to make Real Estate Videos here in Reno, NV. I use ZOOM to make videos in my office. It's too small to use a camera. When I have the space I use a Nikon D600 with a lavalier plugged directly into the camera. If I'm filming outdoors I use a Canon XL1S with either the Canon Shotgun mic it came with or if I need to be farther away from the camera or at a weird angle I use a Shure SM58LC plugged into the XLR adapter for the Canon. I also use the Shure when I'm shooting a green screen in my garage.

Wow..I just love your videos, Katie 😅 please help me with an advise.. in case of a training video session, I would like to use a lavalier..Can it be connected to the laptop? Then, if I'm in the office and I have a video conference call which would be the coolest way to combine lavalier/another kind of microfone and headsets connected to the laptop in the same time?

Very useful video. I am using a Tonor. TC777, not an expensive mic but I think that it is doing the job.

Awesome video Katie. How is your lav not picking up, or creating noise from your clothing? It looks like the element is right against the fabric.
