Do you color-code your scripts or do anything to queue yourself of inflection for certain words?

@@holly9500 Great question! No color coding, but I do use various keyboard symbols, all caps, things like that to cue myself! Planning a future video on this so stay tuned:)

I have lots of public speaking experience, and actually train people. I am also ver experienced in front of a video camera speaking in order to archive my speeches. I find hosting a ZOOM call to be very different. Last week I hosted an interview with the Mayor of New York City. I intend to do more so I have upgraded camera and started using a monitor...which I have never needed. I find that ZOOM requires a different set of TALENTS. I found your 13 TIPS to be excellent and recommend others should watch.

Thank you so much I’m trying to upload a video but when it comes to record myself I get nervous and I want to be more confident. So thank you for sharing this with us I will practice more. ❤❤❤❤

Oh my goodness! These are all great tips. Just taking time to watch and note my habits helps with making mental notes for what I really want to say or do. Thank you for showing your outtakes also. It's exactly how my recording sessions look so I am grateful to see it's just part of the process. Perfectionism is the killer of content creation.

Hello Katie, I have found this video extremely useful. Smiling on camera is not something that comes naturally to be and that is going to take me sometime in looking natural when I smile. But 13 tips are killer tips. I hope I will be able to go through this grind and implement all of them. Thanks for this excellent video. Totally loved it 🥰

Hey Katie. Yep, the inflection comment, priceless. Being from Ohio I'm living in Halifax Nova Scotia. It's a Canadian thing, believe it might come from being overly nice. Really worthwhile reminders/tips. Thanks.

Do you recommend the option to mirror-flip slides and use them in a prompter, Would it be a better option to level up my video quality, especially talking heads, if I only use talking points as I have my whole concept in front of camera.

Breathing... thats the hard part cuz dont u want the mic not to pic up the Breathing?
@KatieFehlingerVideo3 жыл бұрын
True - but as long as you breathe regularly and don't gulp in air, the mic shouldn't pick it up in an overly distracting way!

There were some tips that I thought were very helpful. However, I did notice a couple of words, in this video, that you, and many others, don't pronounce correctly. You frequently say "wanna" in place of "want to". and "ta" instead of "to". And "uh" rather than "A". And "uh-scentially" in place of "essentially". These are more common mistakes than you would think. But they happen so often that they have become accepted. Like "uh-lectric & uh-leven. Just my observation. Thanks for the Great Video!!!
