Excellent series Troy! You’ve covered A-Z on using a mouth call. I’m a first year turkey hunter and I had no clue about the proper use of a mouth call. No gobblers this morning but I called a hen to within 5 yards so I reckon your teaching techniques work! Thanks to you and Primos for this wonderful educational series and I look forward to viewing more videos from y’all. Be Safe!

Thank you for the videos on how to use a mouth call, being a beginner they have helped me alot. This past Saturday I was able to get three gobblers to answer my calls and was coming to me. I was unable to harvest any of them do to three guys following me when a gobbler answered me they would use owl calls all at the same time, I had to move all three times. I don't know if they just didn't know what they were doing or doing it deliberately either way your videos are what got me to the point a gobbler will answer my calls. Again thank you.

Cool thing that we recently discovered is that hens will start sitting on the nest for several hours per day 1-6 days before they lay that final egg. Being able to see that sort of pattern from the gps and other stuff in turkey backpacks is helping biologists pick up on nest location earlier so that nests can be tracked more successfully. The earlier you find it, the less likely you are to make the hen abandon the nest and the better chance you catch an early predation if it happens.

I'm a beginner never called a Turkey a day in my life, is it strange that a piggy back call works better for me starting out?
