Very nice tutorial, i just recall that Vmeter are connected in parallel and Ameter in series to the ckt. Getting interested in applied electronics after 13years of leaving college and working in Fintech sector for all that while .

Hi there I have a question here I have a broken lantern that running n 2 d batteries that equal to 3v i took out the parts and put them into a new lantern which has 4d batteries that equal to 6v on the board has a 10 ohms resistor along with i think an amp or voltage regulator but when i turn it on the voltage regulator heats up and smoke comes out cause the massive power is there a way I can change the resistor so it can handle the current cause the leds are super bright and I feel as though I will burn them
@adamjensen63767 жыл бұрын
Also it has 12leds on them
@TechStudyCell7 жыл бұрын
If it required 3V then you have to reduce the 6V to 3V before the regulator. (2 processes) 1. If it possible you can use 2d batteries (3V) and rest (instead of other 2 d batteries) you can short with wire. 2. or you can add a resistor of proper wattage in series just after the 6V supply to drop it into 3v. as you have not mentioned the current rating so the value of the resistor is hard to calculate. but you can use 50 to 100ohm (not sure). Please ensure the voltage across the connected resistor should be 3v (which is voltage drop) and other 3 v fed to regulator and load.

Ok right now the battery unit stands at 6v and the resistor its on the leds is 110 or 11ohms brown brown black silver along with a 0119 which i have no clue what it is but im guessing its a voltage regurlator I thought of putting two dummys in there but I might just wanna do something else

Sir, If any resistance HEATED and no showing any colour then how we assess value of that resistance....please reply,,,thanks
@TechStudyCell6 жыл бұрын
you have to disconnect the resistor and then measure it with a multimeter.
