It's dead easy to switch colors, just rinse it out with water :)

It's cool eh! Definitely takes some getting used to but can be really effective. Yes, definitely topcoat or it will wear away very easily.

It came with a bunch of wee nibs, but I don't think I ended up using them . They seemed irrelevant. 🤔

@samanthanicholson9015 if you look for a nail art calligraphy pen you should find it. In all honesty, it's not something that I used very often, because I find it easier to free hand with a detail brush but it is a cool option to have, and usually they're inexpensive.

@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie oh great and thanks, the brush I have seems to rotate off if I hit towards the end...I need to practice but I. Oval or curves it isn't doing good I do better free hand draw on paper.

@samanthanicholson9015 it certainly pays to invest in some high quality brushes and gel paint. If you're using brushes from Ali Express or similar and Gel polish, you would benefit trying something from a reputable company that specialises in nail art. Either way, keep practicing and you'll keep improving! Xx

Hi! I have used gel polish in the past and it does work, but it can be inconsistent and skippy...with a bit of patience you can do it though. Give it a try! X

No not really. My Acrylic paints are water based so it just rinses off. ☺️

What is the ratio of water to acrylic paint? A friend and I were trying to get the ratio correct today and kept failing.

I guess it probably depends on the brand and age of the paint. It's been many years since I used this technique but I do remember using more than I thought I would need. It should be the consistency of whole milk or half and half. If I were to do it again, I'd use a couple pea sized amounts of paint, and add water a few drops at a time until it looked like something I'd pour in my coffee. ;)

I never figured that one out to be honest. I just use my Dotting tool, it's quicker.

Yes, but it would need to be REALLY dry. Like...24-48 hours dry.

What kind of ink? Not alcohol ink, it's not pigmented enough. India ink would work but I wouldn't use that for nail art as it would smudge. Just use acrylic paint that has been thinned out like I did in this video.

Kelly Phillips I couldn't either. I don't use the dotting tool parts. They rattle around inside and make a cool noise as I move. Never needed them. I have 100 dotting tools already.
