How to use a new Calligraphy Set

Thank you for this! I wish A&O would include a least a little card for stuff like this with use and care instructions. I would love lots of videos about fountain and calligraphy because it has always been an interest and now that it is getting cooler out it is a perfect time to practice.

SO SO glad you explained that calligraphy ink and fountain pen ink are not the same. I am new to fountain pens and just starting and I was just about to bust this set out and give it a try in my fountain pen when it comes in tomorrow. Savior lol.

Thank you! Please do more fountain pen type content. My fountain pen nibs must have clogged due to neglect. Not poor treatment. Lack of use. I want to try fountain pens again without needing to purchase a new pen. Though, I will because I have my eye on one already.

You can find those nibs for cheap on amazon or a craft store. And have some fun with different types.

With the glow-in-the-dark ink, remember that things like that need to be "charged" before they work very well. Charging just involves exposing them to bright light for a few hours. I bet you'll find it glows fairly well if you do that first. Good luck!

I had it under some good light for about 5 mins before i filmed that.... i think it needs to have more that milky part in it to really glow. But I doubt I will ever really use it honestly.

@@markyourpagesthe only thing that I might use the glow in the dark ink for would be in a background pattern - similar to the branches. I do think it will take more than a few minutes to charge the ink; however, prefer the other two inks

Hi Mark! 🙋🏻‍♀️❤️✨ I learned how to do calligraphy in High School art class in the 1980s. We used mostly black ink, but my art teacher had a beautiful blue ink that was super pretty. The nibs I remember using were square tipped that you held at a 45 degree angle to produce the font with thick and thin lines. Do you know why the nibs have evolved away from the square tips?
