Great video, just one addition I would suggest, in that if the purpose of raising the car is to change a wheel, loosen the wheel nuts slightly whilst car is still on ground. If they've been over tightened by a previous over zealous tire fitter, you'll appreciate the extra friction... LOL

Absolutely spot on point. Let the grounded weight of the car allow you to loosen the bolts enough so when you jack it up the jack isn’t likely to wiggle and possibly buckle under excessive force of trying to get the “bastard nuts” loosened.
@omarvelarde4493Ай бұрын
I needed to see this earlier 😭 no wonder I couldn’t loosen the nuts whilst the car was lifted. That couldn’t have been good for my alignment 😅😭😭 but I know now! This was too helpful. Thank you so much!

I wish I had seen this a couple days ago after one of my tyres blew. I have the same sort of jack but instead of using the hook and the socket tools in conjunction, I was raising the jack by only using the rod through the jack hole and turning. It was effective but took 5x longer than it should have if I knew better. Thanks for the video, very educational

GreAt video. I was going to make a few videos about jacking up my car (as you know, every car is different). I would be very interested in seeing where you can put a trolley jack at the front and back. I can use my rear diff and a certain area on my lower engine protector. My car never came with a jack or even a spare wheel. My older BMW’s had a very cool jack, where it slides into a hole, in the side of the sills. Feel so much safer than the Renault logo jack :p
