oh and not everyone has money to spend for a new couch or real slip covers which are ridiculously high priced in the first place. I like having food and electricity. this was an EXCELLENT IDEA!

butterfly 75 I think so, too! I'm in that situation right now, trying to find a free to cheap couch that has been inside a house, not outdoors getting bugs. if I can, it's decently cheap to find thrift store sheets, etc.

Love how the cat took over the sofa after you were done with it. My cat used to do the same thing when I was making the bed. I'd find him hiding under the sheets!

I was thinking people could use baby bed or bassinet fitted sheets for the cushions. I would try and stick with solid colors though. in my opinion

Best not to make it so neat. I just throw a queen size sheet over my couch. But the couch itself is a new couch--2 weeks old--and looks nice. I try to keep it classy by putting Marimekko sheet on it. The couch is black and I sweat like nobody's business during the summer....I'm afraid of salt stains. Plan to take the sheet off for company.

My couch is one with stay put cushions. :( That means it is hard to clean so I HAVE to use covers to keep it clean.

You can find sheet sets pretty cheap on Amazon. Under $15 for king size. I got some orange ones just to use for Halloween!

It's a good start, but it's not finished. You need to cover the sides. You should have pinned up the old skirt so that it doesn't show under the new one. And that music gave me a headache.
