Actually, they are damper pedals, even if they are on digital pianos that don't have any physical dampers. The sound of a piano doesn't sustain, it decays. An organ is all about sustain. And a synth can sustain, depending on how the EGs are configured. But a sostenuto pedal was a good thing to have a video about. A lot of people don't know about its function.

Thank you for this tutorial. I purchased a used triple from Reverb for my Nord 3. Everything works as you describe, except I do not hear "quieter" from the left pedal. I also don't hear the "quieter" difference in your video.? Can you suggest a preset or adjustment so I can prove to myself that my triple's left pedal works? Thank you! Hugs!
