How to Use a Strap Wrench

Wow, I have never seen a tool like it, had my doubts when the guy at auto zone recommended it but I needed something to open my oil filter cap for my bmw and it worked like a charm. Best part about it, is that it took little to no effort.

The video left several unanswered questions, e.g. can this be used on a pipe that is not accessible from the end? If so how?

Hi +Jason Culver - yes, these wrenches can be used on pipe that isn't accessible from the end. The end of the strap comes all the way out of the wrench, allowing you to wrap it around the pipe and place it back into the adjuster. Hi Angelique - the largest strap wrench we offer fits a 5-1/2" pipe diameter, which is roughly 17" in circumference.
