I am getting a BTS is it ok if i only have a heat mat instead of a heat lamp and it is ok to have a uvb bulb in only 50% of the tank. Thank You😀

Uvb for only 50% of the tank perfectly fine highly recommend the Arcadia 12% t5 or the zoo med t5 10.0. For blue tongues the basking bulb is much better since they are diurnal

When does the heat mat begin to heat after plugging it in thermostat when i plug the heat mat in somewhere else it begins to heat up i cac feel the heat but when i plug it into the thermostat its cold its not heating its only been like an 1hr and a half im not sure if it takes a couple days before the temperature sets or what

what temperature does hide needs like what should I set the thermostat because I watched your video ball python setups for beginners and in that you dident put the probe in the hide so and do I nead a basking spot

for tanks you’ll need a che and heat mat, bin with a heat mat would work if your room temp is above 72° F

You would have to place the thermostat on the glass and make sure it does get over 95f
