GREAT video on how to operate a Wheelchair Lift inside a vehicle - useful as many find it complicated or confusing.

Presumably the seats must be removed, and somehow a remote control will close the back? If so I could use this independently!

Yes, those adaptations/alterations are usually used in combination with a wheelchair lift. Additionally, a Turny 6-Way can help you transfer to the driver's seat or if you wish to drive from the wheelchair a wheelchair lock and additional back and head protection.

What if your not independent and can’t hope in behind the electric wheelchair to operate it

The lift can be operated by a person seated in the wheelchair or a carer if needed.

can it handle more than a sack of rice?
@BraunAbilityEurope2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how big a sack of rice you're thinking of. Most of our wheelchair lifts have a Safe Working Load of 400 kg.
@migustamiasi2 жыл бұрын
@@BraunAbilityEurope sounds reasonable 1 sack is 100kg. I am also 100kg adult

Gosh wouldn't it have been nice if the gentleman had actually sat in a wheelchair so that people could see approximate reach needed, head room available... and things of that nature. Mobility adverts without the actual mobility devices. Not very helpful.

Hi Renne, True, but we figured it was better to show something rather than nothing. So we worked with what was available at the time. As for the headroom and reach, these variables change depending on the distance between the vehicle's floor and roof, as well as the user's height. In other words, it depends very much on the make and model of the vehicle as well as the torso height of the individual using the lift. Please excuse the late reply, seems we've had some issues with notifications and missed quite a few comments on our videos.
