If you have a light that does not have a reciever, what is the best method to make it a receiver.

You can buy a receiver, then connect that to your light. Lighting Controller > Transmitter > Receiver > Light Fixture.

How many channels can handle a normal cheap wdmx transmitter? Is it possible to use one transmitter for manage an entire universe (512ch)? About the receivers: Do you need one receiver for each lamp or you can use for example one receiver, connect it to the first lamp input and connect chain all the other fixtures from the lamp1 out? I have a cabled set of fixtures and i want just to use one transmitter and one receiver to put the mixer a bit far from the lights. Thanks for the answer and the vid

That's right. Most DMX transmitters are for a single universe. We would use several receivers to provide signal to 10-15 fixtures each, depending on the venue. As you described transmitter > receiver > fixture 1 > dmx > fixture 2 > dmx > fixture 3 > etc. for each batch of 10-15 fixtures.
