Sunk pike float works better in my experience not bouyant enough.....and sticking one of my secrets out there to the world....try fishing a sinking bait a foot below a bubble float with a flouro carbon hooklink when fishing mixers on the surface.......cant believe i give that away........

rise and lower the zig using the reels retrieve rating, as a guide, and then the forward or reverse turns of the handle to adjust the zig.. eg 100cms equals 1 full turn. so if your hooklength is 3ft its one full turn untill its below the surface. this way you dont add extra twist to the line thats caused by only moving the spool

I purchased this kit and followed the instructions and it tangled so bad, second cast was spot on, started at 3ft and lowered it every 15mins as I knew fish were there. At 7ft I caught regular for hours.. getting another for this weekend

Both myself and my son bought this zig kit. We attached a 2oz lead to the boom and just the weight of the lead caused the boom to fall apart where you attach the lead. I assume its glued together to form a loop. Very flimsey and crappy in my opinion. I bought a nash zig rig the day after and the quality was far more superior.

Just adding summat else surely hooking wise for a zig float a concave top to the float would aid in hooking....physics 101 aint it?? What think anyone??

Measure it mate then put a strip of coach trimmer tape around the blank or coloured insulation tape and you have your marker I actually use my marker rod to zig and its already marked

U don’t need to know the depths of your fishing an adjustable because you work from the surface down.... where a fixed zig you would need to know because it’s a pre tied hooklength.

Could always have the been still but attach a drop off lead system that korda do, it's called heli safe lead system I use them for when I chod fish and need to dump the lead can have it set 2 ways losing the lead or not losing it. And still would be safe as if the line was to snap or anything the fish wont have then lead to pull around everywhere Hope this helps

Terrible things. Fished in deep weed and no chance of getting it to the surface. Even if you do, you have no chance of seeing it beyond about 15ft. Wish I'd just bought a pike float
