I had bad AI OC issues every reset my AI added more Voltage 1.4-1.6V@ 5.5-6.2GHz. I just under volt now and use PBO with 1.2-1.3V max @ 5.5-5.8GHz with single core spikes of 6.2GHz

new bios update fixed a lot of the Asus issues but setting a negative offset was the only thing that would keep the voltage from spiking. @@Xkd.

*ROG Global* - CPU Core Ratio to select AI Optimised and AI OC Guide menu option are missing in the latest Bios for the Asus Strix x670e-A Gaming Wifi motherboard. I've purchased the 7950x3D for that motherboard and I am unable to get the 7950x3D to 5.7ghz that is advertised of doing via the latest Bios (v1709 x64). I was hoping that Ai Optimized would be able to achieve this but I am having zero luck. Can you (or anyone) advise on how to do this, please?

@@SaschaRobitzki man you don't know half the story, rma MB, rma cpu, rma ram. Today I just got the 3 parts replaced and installing windows now. 3 months later after paying a lot, a lot of work and no post, dealing with 3 different companies for RMA. Now trying expo and bios settings, to find out that the MB features are gone. Gotta do it manual. To be honest, the expo enhanced settings are working fine so far but bsod whenever I try any negative offset on all cores. Again, I'm just happy it's posting at all. I've been waiting for too long.

This feature causes all of my games to crash. I would recomend the user enable expo ii but leave the core ratios at stock.

they are different memory profiles from the ram's settings.

@@linerror expo 1 use the advertized first couples of ram settings than asus optimize the rest of settings. Expo 2 use all of your ram manufacturer settings as they should since its what you pay for. I would always go for expo 2 since i think it should be more stable in the long run.

Expo 2 (as stated in the description of your BIOS) loads the entire profile from your memory. Expo 1 doesn't, so you have the option to do some tweaking on top of EXPO 1

2 ram works at 6000 MHz or if you want to run 4x32 @ 4000MHz than that will work with updated bios.

Please HELP! I have the SAME speed of RAM and the same motherboard X670 Hero. When I put 2 dimms of RAM, this works perfectly. But when I install 4x32GB of RAM, it never runs on anything above 3600MHz - impossible. Bios crashes. PLEASE HELP! Thank you!!!

I see the Auto AI tuning core ratio feature shown in this iteration of the bios is no longer there in 1709... so I guess it was the AI that blew up the AM5 processors when they were released? 😂

6000 Mhz DDR5 not working for everyone if you're CPU not pushed or overclocked at 6 Ghz or beyond what's to point for the general gaming user ?! Currently running AI DOCP Tweaked at 5600 Mhz CL 40, 40, 40 memory that only supports XMP profile and also pushed a little bit more around 5800 Mhz manually the system is super stable and that's it for my system tested on AIDA 64 also OCCT memory test also stable no errors or crashes !

I may have messed up ...I bought a b650e-f gaming wifi mobo with ddr5 6000 cl30 gskills ripjaws S5 ...I did not notice till now that my ram says "with intell xmp" but I am going to be using a ryzen 7 7700x ...and further i do not see that ram listed on the qvl on the asus website ...i used pcpartpicker to ensure everything works but now im kinda panicing ...will i be able to use that ram at 6k even though it says "intell xmp" or will that ram even work?

yes you will be fine, i would check the qvl and see if there are any other sort of modules that use the same speed and same timings as they will be identical to your ram except a different heatspreader. but 6000mhz is considered the sweet spot and safe for this generation. given that your motherboard is a 8 layer pcb should give you even more of a chance it will work.

Hey! So this is your BIOs, everyone who has a PC should familiarize themselves with it. It houses settings for overclocking, but many other funtions as well. It's accessed when you turn on your PC start spamming F2 or the delete button when you mobo screen comes up thats when you actually need to hit F2 or dlt, but you only have like 3 seconds to hit it so I just spam. In asus mobos they have a setting TPU and it allows you to OC without having to be knowledgeable about voltages and temps and all that jazz. Or without spending a buncha time fine tuning an overclock for stability. Hope that helps!

All Asus AM5 boards have this. I have this board with a 7700X. Expensive but very nice. If your DDR5 is not posting, try 1 stick, set ram speed in bios, then switch to 2 sticks.

100% it does, these guys are giving weird info. My 7700X AI OC ran between 1.4V-1.6V @ 5.5-6.2GHz with temps running very high. I switched to a undervolt using PBO and run at 1.2-1.3V max @ 5.5-5.8GHz and spikes of 6.3GHz on single cores

@@jfat511 normally I’d say the OC would be the problem “ stability” but if your running at 1080p or 1440p it maybe the CPU, but at 4K that’s more your GPU end of things. What Game? If your going to say “last of US” then that’s an ongoing issues with the port to PC.

@@RCrider185 warzone 2, I'm playing at 1440p. The game has multiplayer and battle royal version called warzone 2.0. when I play the multiplayer everything is perfect 99% GPU utilization and everything check out except when I jump to warzone I only get 160 fps at time and 70% GPU utilization.

I was able boot my x670e hero with 6400mhz cl32 kit. How can I check if its running at a 1:1 ratio? I found that it wasn't. I had manually set the flck to 2133mhz and ulck=clock to make it run at 3:1:1. I stress test it and seems to be stable.

Yep. Asus motherboards for am5 aren't known for fast boot times. My wife's pc I built for her which is 1/4th the price of my pc with a gigabyte motherboard boots in 12 seconds, and mine boots in a minute.

With this method (with AI enabled), on an Asus ProArt X670E, I obtain optimal temps and bench, but if I try to run AIDA64 FPU test, the system reboots immediatly! With AI disabled, no crash occurs, but I get higher temps and little less performance (on CB23). Any suggestion on how to fix it? It looks like a vcore matter.

I tried this last year on BIOS 1807, it kept crashing, high temperatures and all so i loaded default settings.... two days ago i decided to try again, i first of all updated my BIOS to 2124 and then did the overclock, RAM to 6000 EXPO II and CPU Core Ratio to AI Overclock, my system has been very stable since then

The prices are not that bad honestly the motherboards are finally are par with their Intel counterparts. These are the high end boards mind you as well. Wait for the B series boards if your cost conscious or stick to am4
