Ayup Matt, I've forgot all about Exp' pedals (apart from the sustain pedal on my Korg Triton Extreme) the last time I had one or used one was back in the early 80's. it was a volume pedal combined with a wah-wah, a guitar pedal really, had it hooked up to my Vox Continental organ. Thanks for the reminder about them. Cheers Tim.

Awesome - thanks for stopping by! Wonder if there’s any way to use an expression pedal with a modular setup like yours…

Hi Matt - you're exposing all my foibles - well, some of them 😱 I bought one a couple of years ago specifically to control some patches I'd bought for a synth. Never used either 😢 I should probably plug it into my MIDI controller.😊

For sure! Let us know how it goes! 😃

Yes the Prologue IS a very beautiful & what's more important an amazing sounding synthesizer. Maybe because I had an obsession with cleanliness, pedals were always the last thing thinking of. I'm one of those weirdos that even covers pedals not just the synths with cloth when not using. For many years I've explored synths just sitting cross-legged on a chair The ignition why I suddenly wanted pedals was the Alesis Fusion 8 HD. With a piano-synth you need a damper p., so why not getting an expression p. addiionally lol? In 2000 when getting a used Wavestation "Graffity" EX limited edition together with an EXP-2, (the latter) ended up in the drawer. When I tried it after many years, I noticed that the modulation depth didn't have the full stroke (anymore?). I'm not sure but it seems like EXP-2 does not stand the test of time. Everything one has, including pedals, should apparently (or certainly) be used regularly. I have some Roland EV-5 attached to the Fusion & others, mostly to control operator frequency. Since Fusion makes no sound (without defined mod matrix) it happens automatically to try any destination.

What I finally wanted to add before I forget it. I didn't dare to connect anything else than Yamaha FC-7 to gem DX5. That pedal is worlds apart from the other two because 1.) It's huge, 2.) its heavy, 3.) manufactured appropriately and doesn't slip away. It looks & feels like from a different era & Is (in my country) only € 15,- more than f. e. the Roland EV-5.

Thanks Matt... it would be useful to describe the 'jack' as either the jack socket or the jack plug, btw 🙂

I was searching to try this on the Korg M1 and I read in the fourms it's possible but I can't find any info. Could you make a video like this for the M1 please? Thank you!

Roland EV-5 not RV-4, changed it. Expectedly forgot the name 🥴
