I have not, but they are on my list. I'm waiting until my daughter has some free time. She's only 7 but works with adult coloring books and if I time it right it will give her an art credit for homeschool. ;)

This has helped a lot. I'm glad that you picked out several pencils in the family color (I thought that I had to pick only 3 pencils total for analogous coloring). I'll be more adventurous now.

Thank you for explaining Analogous colors. Your a wonderful instructor. I know you like it when we ask you questions (and Lord knows I ask a gazillion) especially when it's about doing a tutorial....I know this has nothing to do with Analogous colors...however, can you do a tutorial on coloring a page to make it look vintage? I love the vintage look however have not figured out how to achieve the look. Thank you again for this great tutorial.

+Joyce Vaughn, thank you for your kind words ❤️💜💙 The other pages off to the left side were printed off from google. They are just a bunch of my research pages and notes to help me understand what I am teaching. Most of it is way too complicated for my liking. I am pulling out what applies to coloring and trying to break it down into short, useful lessons.

Wonderful video, Jennifer. I do have a question though. When you pulled out all those pencils - the blues and violets, were you saying that you would actually use all those pencils for one coloring project, or were you you saying that those were examples of pencils that you could use? Please remember that I'm just a beginner colorist . . . Thanks.
@ColoringBliss7 жыл бұрын
+Cindy Knapper, so glad you asked your question. Those are all the pencils I could use within that scheme but I don't have to. If I had fewer supplies or a smaller set of colored pencils I would have fewer options or would need to mix and layer to get a bigger variety of tones - that is if I felt like the page needed it. Sometimes the simpler the color palette, the better.

Question: Enjoy your videos can I ask what's the difference from tersherie colors and analogous. I thought tersherie colors were three closet together. thanks in advance for response.
@ColoringBliss8 жыл бұрын
+jcliveshere2 - analogous is a color scheme like I show in this video. Tertiary are the colors formed by mixing a primary and a secondary color. I haven't discussed that yet...hmmm...sounds like the subject of my next video 😉

What could I do no matter how I use the color wheel to make my art look different than most of other people's? Is there a such thing as leaning the rules then breaking them? I get bored working with the color wheel the same way time after time.
