@@mistergamer941 actually its both. India UPI does not support apply pay. UPI used adhhar link phone number and bank account while apple pay use card based payment system. tbh i prefer UPI

Here in the UK I haven't used cash for the past 7 years, I don't carry cash, cards or keys, it's all done using my phone or watch.

Seems like I lived in a different UK😂😂😂😂, because I use to live in Southampton and one day I was looking for haircut, when I went to the barber shop, the owner directly denied to accept the card, and this was not the only instance, when I went to the Southampton port, every shop was only accepting cash and nothing else. Same experience in Reading, Edinburgh, in Cardiff the shop owner said they only accept the card if order is more than 13 pounds. Well 80-85% of the shops accept card payment but not all and I don't think one can live this long without cash...........just sharing my experience mate, don't take it other wise, I am not bad mouthing the UK at all.

It is very disrespectful how apple is not capable of launching apple pay in India, At least it should accept that and give the NFC support to 3rd party apps like Google pay, Paytm or phonepe which can actually do it. Hope Indian Government too brings strict rules like UK against such companies which are completely disrespectful to its users by not offering the same functionality throughout.

For those who says when will it comes to India..well not in the near future. Indias upi is not supported by Apple pay. UPI uses adhar link phone and bank account. while apple pay still uses old card based payment system. Americans dont really need change or upgrade I guess

Samsung Pay exists in India which uses ‘card based payment’ service. Apple Pay is not available in India cause of RBI’s restrictions, nothing as sort of ‘not having UPI’. Apple will have to bend the knee to RBI just like Samsung did for their payment service to come in India.
