How To Use Astro A50/A40, w/The GoXLR To Stream From Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Or PC???

So I no longer have the A50's as I now have the A30's wireless set that just came out where Astro partnered w/Logitech. I didn't care for the A50's as much as I noticed the software update wasn't as ghreat as it is w/their other headsets, but I mainly stream & game on PC b/c I'm a mouse & keyboard player. So my opinion u should upgrade. Do u own a PC?

What about just the A50s with a capture card on the Xbox series x... no external mic... is the setup the same, just skip the mic portion?

What would I have to do differently if I wanted to use goXLR with ps5 and Astro a50! I want to do everything other than stream

I have dual pc setup with goxlr mini, elgato hd60s with a50. After research im glad to have stumbled at your video. Everything seems good except that my stream could not hear my ps5 audio. I made sure that goxlr app had my broadcast and game audio checked even maxed the console volume to highest but still no audio. I even tried having the adapter for the a50 optical cable run to the ps5 and output optical cable to goxlr but still lost and I wonder what could be the problem.

Do u have the right settings for input/output on PS5? Also is this the game audio or your teammates? If it’s teammates Sony has not updated this yet so rn lots of ppl have this issue where no one can hear the other teammates. I always suggest having all y’all jump n a discord call & pull the team audio Thru that way. That’s how I do it but u should be picking up game audio

@@TrippyMELMEL i'll check it again. I can hear the game from my a50 but obs is not picking up the sound from ps5. And yes its for the game not teammates i usually go for discord as well.

@@brianalmero4610 , so I think it’s something simple, & it has 2 do w/the input/output on PS5. Soon as u swap it it’ll change & come thru OBS as well. You’ll prob have 2 fix this each time u stream that way which is normal

I run a 3.5mm aux cable from my xbox series x controller.. to a splitter I have coming off my ground loop isolator thats plugged into the line in of the goxlr.. and im able to use my goxlr with my xbox series x.. I also have 2 goxlr's because I have a 2 pc gaming/ streaming setup and im able to route the xbox sound from the gaming goxlr to the streaming xlr and vice versa....

May I ask why u don't use but just 1 GoXLR for all this? That's what I do & I have a dual PC setup

I’ve watched tons of videos and still don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I’m trying to use goxlr with ps5 and Astro a50s. I don’t want to stream or record, I just want to use goxlr sound effects with chat while playing a game! Is this possible?

U have to have an Astro HDMI Adapter do u have this yet

@@kamakazecam okay noise isolators are a must it puts a stop 2 most sounds. It's surprising but it works 100%

A few weeks ago I purchased the S+ for my One X… can I stream in not 4K or is 4K the only option? Since I know I’m not suppose to stream in 4K, I’m just hoping this doesn’t because a waste.

No u will not use any speakers other than your headset & sound travels thru audio optical only, & it’s best 2 run an external mic other than your headset mic. 1 will be for chat on stream if you’re streaming, 1 will be for in game party chat & that’ll be your headset mic. You’ll need 2 buy 2 noise suppressors from Amazon for Aaron’s around $10 each to take out the humming noise

Yes u will get sound all around but I'l be honest w/u the A50's are not a good headset for all that if u wanna go wireless. They're complicated. I switched to the A40' w/Mix Amp, but yes it will all work but friend in Aussie uses them on PS5 & PC. Are u using the new Xbox or older one

@@TrippyMELMEL sorry to put a downer on this. I was so happy to have party hat that I didn't check audio when streaming and the result is that my stream doesn't hear me or my party chat. Any idea why?

@@xlr8244 , It's b/c u have your settings mixed up. It's simple to fix & it happens a lot. U gotta make sure u turn off display capture, then run video capture w/your capture card only, & set your settings for input/output where your input will be the mix your using, then tthe headset will be your Astro's. Here's the thing, u can't use the headset mic to talk 2 stream & your party chat at the same time. U have 2 choose. You'll need 2 buy a separate mic also then re-do your settings & separate the sound

The computer mouse I am still using on my gaming PC is a old outdated Microsoft ball Mouse from 1998 and it still works great but I think I should probably get a new one someday to play games better

Exactly how do u have this hooked up? Are u using an HDMI optical adapter? U can only use certain headsets for this stuff

@@glock45owner , so I’ll be honest Astro A50’s have always had this issue. Astro A40’s never have the issue. For some reason when I bought the 40’s those issues stopped so I’d say those r the actual paper Issue
