Is it possible to control the order in which the buildings are built? It would make sense if, for example, the nanos were built first or the energy generators before the energy converters. Perhaps through the order in which the buildings are selected when saving the blueprint? Without an order, it doesn't make that much sense to me because you could lose too much economic efficiency, when everyhting is build random. With a customizable order it would be a great feature...and kinda op

One person in comments suggested it’s the order in which they are buil when selected the first time. Haven’t proven it yet though

@@JAWSMUNCH304 Yes, before you save a blueprint pls select the build order one by one with CTRL and then save. You avoid stack of builders and focus to right order. Unfortunately between cortex armada the BP's are not compatible with the same characteristics :(

you need to manually select the buildings in order you want them built the order they are built the first time has no effect i made a 4x4 square of build turets and they just randomly got added to the blueprint then i redid it and manually selected them in the order and it worked

I think this could be really interesting. I see so much pessimism about it, but the game is so large, there are a ton of edge cases, I am sure, to fit blueprints in. I see it for putting down high reward low apm stuff, like dragons teeth just to keep ticks from getting in friendly fire range of your LLT's in the late game, or using land mines as part of your defensive lines. Normally, I feel mines are too much apm, but if you could just have a minelayer as part of a front line control group, and every time you wanted to build a new section of front line, he thew down 3 perfectly chosen and spaced mines? I also could see it as a way to make wind with con turret much better. Con turrets are amazing for building wind, which is VERY build power inefficient, (2.5 times the build power of fusion, 6.6 times the build power of advanced geo, for core). I could see a way that you just have a "con turret plus wind" blueprint, but then at one corner of the blueprint you would have say, a fusion as a reference for location. Build the plan, it doesn't start the fusion because the constructors are tier 1. Then you would just tile say 4 blueprints together, and at the end, you would have 4 idle con turrets sitting right in range of a site for a fusion reactor or a geo, that you could then use the windmills to power out. Just have everyone jump on the fusion, and power it out. I think the result would be you very quickly scale your wind, and then you rapidly complete your project. then you could just say, air lift all the turrets to the front line and start spamming more traditional large banks of con turrets for the super build power intensive stuff, like say building an AFUS, where a fusion can power like 30 con turrets, if metal is not an issue. Also, if you are using blueprints for afus, I would really just build ones that tile together. Afus require insane amounts of BP, so say, Start with a blueprint that has max con turrets in a 4 wide bank for the first Afus, and then you could just tile it upwards and down to expand your afus production, and reclaim the central con turrets as they exit relevant range.

Great points. It will be interesting to see if the mine layer gets more uses in game. I am excited to see what the community does with this update.

Can the blueprint be saved over different games?

They are added just like alt groups. To delete a certain blueprint across all games just press alt d with that blueprint selected.

Where are the blueprints saved? What if I want to rename them or delete unwanted ones?

They can’t be named as far as I know you can delete them easily in the same blueprint menu in game alt+b to open the menu, scroll to the one you wish to delete and then press alt+d

Be sure to check out my other blueprint video as well. I have been trying to find a way to implement them in the current state but it’s a bit tough. They are there and will have a place for sure.

I would note, overwatches get outranged by artillery. I don't recommend it against vehicles, even in T1. Honestly, I am not REALLY sure what it's for. For front lining it's too fragile, for holding off rocket bots you already have beamers which do significantly more dps. By T2, you would never build this when you can build a pit bull. I don't consider it relevant at AA and it's sight range is bad for a turret. In particular, it's dps at max range is atrocious when compared to a pit bull. like one sixth the amount. Especially cause the beamer exists and is just great.

I understand and I used to not like overwatch for that reason, but some rocket bots towards the front could harass artillery fire.

@@JAWSMUNCH304 Yeah, I think you may just be right on this one. I was just watching lostdeadman's most recent video, which is titled "the meta from 8 months ago", and what he is doing with hold fire janus is just dirty. I think if I were playing bots, I would need some sort of accurate longer ranged unit to deal with that, and that would probably HAVE to be an overwatch. It is just coming out too fast to get a scorpion or pit bull, and I think beamers would probably also struggle.

I already kind of give my constructors a big order to make a lot of fusions so I can look at other stuff, that being said it is a great way to incorporate defenses into your economy.

I haven’t gotten a chance to test any of my blueprints yet it’s all mainly theory, as soon as I get back from my anniversary trip I’ll be running some practical tests.
