HOW TO use Bonide Garden Rich Root & Grow Stimulator & Plant Starter| Jhuly's Aquatics & Gardening

This video came in response to a comment that I recieved on the video I did explaining how to use Bonnide's Rooting Hormone Powder (link is below). The experiment of dissolving the powder in water didn't work quite well. I found this product at Home Depot and decided to give it a go!

i just bought Bonide Garden rich root &grow because i couldn't find in stores a simular product called Elenors VF-11. with the VF-11 what i found was amazing root growth in plants that was started from seed. i used a control plant ( water only ) and the rest with the VF-11. when it was time to transplant, the control plant had very little root growth, but the plants i used the product on had become root bound, it had an enormous amount of roots. i would assume the Bonide Garden rich and grow would work the same as its meant to be used in the same way and purpose .

I don’t know people think the powder is for mixing water not trying to be mean but if you read the instructions it says put cutting in powder jar and tap a few times stick in soil and water I also would put a bag over so your cuttings don’t dry up i use both products and I love the liquid for transplants or relocating a rose bush or sum what you do is make a gallon of product so liquid rooting hormone to water you have to dilute and make sure you water your plants first then apply rooting hormone just in case of burning the roots I’ve water rooting hormone without watering on my marigolds and no ill effects but I still wouldn’t recommend it still has fertilizer in it and some plants may react differently I was lucky but also marigolds are tuff

i have the exact same one but my info were worn out or destroyed, it was very hard to find the portions, thank you for mentioning it. BTW, if you the the larger lid? it’s a measure utensil , gives both ounces and table spoon

I did read that on the back of the bottle and I mean to try it out for that purpose. Have you had good success with it reducing plant shock?

You should really scrape the bottom of the stim it helps Roots grow better and faster
