Wow, I've used Hydro2 Lite with reasonable success in the past but this foam version looks so much better in that you don't need to stop and deal with the logistics of doing one panel at a time. Game changer as far as I'm concerned. With this foam version you blast the entire car with the foam, but how long do you let it dwell before starting to take it off?

It depends on the situation. When you are done foaming the car, you can usually start rinsing where you started foaming. Thanks for watching! 😄

Does Hydro2 Foam actually take the road film off the car? I usually start with Lift as a snow foam and then use Reset as a contact wash.

If your car is really dirty, I would recommend using a good pre-wash (lift) to remove as much dirt as possible. For the contact wash, you can use HydrO2 Foam to Wash & Protect in 1 step. 😉

@@JRDetailing i’m just now getting ready to clean my car today after two road trips and I was going to use the Lift first then go for reset and then Hydro2 foam. is that overkill?

​@@deanbush After your contact wash with Reset, just foam with HydrO2. Let it sit for a minute or 2 and pressure rinse. 😉

The instructions on the packaging say to foam the car, wash it with a mitt and rinse it off. This is the purpose of this 2-in-1 product. However, I can't imagine rubbing the foam with dirt using a mitt (that's how I understood the instructions). How to use it as a 2-in-1 product?

@@JRDetailing You mean, after pre-wash, use foam cannon, and than wash mitt? (Do I need to rinse wash mitt after every panel, or just kinda "lift" rest of traffic film, remaing after pre-wash and rinse? - I'm newbie to detailing).

If your car is really dirty, I would recommend using a good pre-wash to remove as much dirt as possible. Then use HydrO2 Foam in your bucket or in a foam cannon. If you prefer to use the foam cannon method. Use 1 bucket of clean water to frequently rinse out your mitt.

If the vehicle already has a coating you may as well use it as a bucket wash. Your method is no different then just using Hydro2Lite which is more efficient.

hey! it's true that the lite does a better job. You can indeed use hydro2 Foam in the bucket. if you wash the car weekly, it is faster, more convenient and cheaper to foam the car with hydro2 Foam after washing. Cheers!
