I have a problem...for the length of BC..when i pressed the exact same thing...i get 0 while sir gets 766.99... but then when i type the x=100 i get the same answer in the end...why did i get 0?

to indicate the value is at positive zone. u can use 10 or 50 or any other positive numbers

Because when u solve it , you might has more than one x answer , this is how the calculator know where is your x value
