There is a new AI chatbot called Claude 2 and it’s a direct competitor to ChatGPT and Google Bard. It’s created by an AI company called Anthropic.
Claude 2 can do tasks like summarizing, searching, writing, and coding.
It’s completely free to use. It has access to recent data.
The new model allows users to input about 75000 words or 100k token. That’s more than 3 times ChatGPT.
And one of the most impressive parts is that you can upload multiple documents to Claude and have it summarize it and ask questions about it.

I asked Claude 2 a question about how to reboot a NAS remotely that ChatGPT could not answer, and Claude 2 asked me the model number, and with the information told me how to acccomplish what i wants to do. I love it.

As of Sept 1, 2023 Claude is still only available in the u.s. and u.k. You will also need a u.s. or u.k. phone number to register.

0:22. Free to use, yes. But not unlimited. Claude (on Anthropic): "4 messages remaining until 4 AM". Yay... 3:24. I think chatgpt's answer is more suitable for 5 year olds. Giving them an essay as an answer might be a bit too much. 4:55. Me (42): "What?" 5:05. Me: "Ah, now I get it." xD I haven't tried chatgpg, but I've been using Claude the last few days for roleplay. It has a good memory, could access the information of the OC and the story lore from its database and fill in the gaps. However it did struggle with other instructions like format/markdown or keeping a certain reply length. Occasional reminders and nudges were necessary to prevent Claude from going off the rails.

In addition to the response above, it's in beta version, that's why. Basically you are testing the model and not being paid for it. Which is even better for them is that the model is being tested on a large scale.

* The "preventing abuse" solution should actually not that difficult: When ChatGPT/Claude 2 is given specific tasks ... there can be 1000s of different parameters given and all have a certain effect ... why not have SOME parameters be added by default permanently that nobody can remove when using ChatGPT4 or ChatGPT5 or higher. They could test ChatGPT/Claude 2 always to uphold: 01. The Nuremberg Code (all 10). 02. The U.S. Constitution 03. The Declaration of Independence 04. Universal Declaration of Human Rights 05. The Magna Carta 06. The Hippocratic Oath 07. The Bill of Rights 08. Not Violating Nor Depriving Self-Determination Rights of Citizens And TEST if it knows how to make a "summary" of them all 8 combined related to any task that it is given to ANYONE ...
