The concept is a no-brainer and I can't wait to use it. I've been using Copilot in the IDE and it can be helpful. But it feels really limited when you ask it how to implement something across multiple files and it tells you a step-by-step guide and then you say "now please make the changes in my repo" and it says "As an AI, I don't have the ability to make changes to files..." (at least, that's the chat window). I know the in-editor Copilot can generate code in the current file but I don't believe it can do so in the whole repo

Seems like you're missing a "subdiff": a diff on the would-be diff. You would have spotted the regression on the text shadow. Without subdiffs, you're going to have to re-review the whole thing, even though just one small thing changed.

The basic functions of Copilot have decent UX but for working with a larger project, it's annoying because it doesn't care much about imports and functions in other files.

I have a similar issue, where I am using a JDK 21 application and it is giving me javax library error. Since in JDK 21 javax is not supported and need to use jakarta but not able to find anywhere in my project a javax library hope github copilot will help me resolve the issue. I do not have a subscription but now i am thinking

This is impressive but where was the unit test? I would like to see Copilot update an already existing unit test file and slot in a new unit test
