good old cdj 1000! i really miss those only too bad that they didnt have a USB disk on key feature, and yes i hear od the DMP-555 experimental CDJ that allowed SD cards, which is less \versatile comfortable.

hi awsome vedio !! actually am really good in this kind of mixing. but i found problems when i tried doing this in cdj 900. the cue is taking me to the previous cue point which i have set b4 ..its not starting from the beginning of the selected track. kindly help to use the same method in 900 also

you pretty much always wanna hit QUEUE on the "AND" after 4 and then PLAY/PAUSE on the 1 of course as this guy explains. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 AND 1. Perfect if you're just trying to restart on your QUEUE with minimal interruptions.

I just press reloop in time. think that works for pioneers as well. But good alternative, worked with first track, not really with second in my opinion; cause it had some melody in the background.

good vid... and yeah you can do it with every rhythm as long as the song is written in 4/4 time... which just about everything is unless you're mixing waltzes or military marches... which i doubt...

Going back to a bit of old school I've come across tracks that have 8 beats to a bar with 4 bars to a phrase (tunes in question being 4 Strings - Take Me Away (4 Strings Remix, Mac Zimms Remix, Purple Haze Remix), the Re-Ward and Resistance D remix I worked out as having 4 beats to a bar with 8 bars to a phrase. If I've got that wrong then I'd be happy to be told what they should be and why since it would mean that I'm missing something and would help me improve (I'm only just starting to get into the technical aspects since before I would just pick two songs that I like and hoped they work as well together as I thought they would). With 4 Strings, the only remix I have that I would say is 4/4 is the RMB remix. Anyway, getting back on topic, the vid looks like a nice little skill to have under the belt :)

what is the point of pressing cue then play? how does it help to beat match? is it so when the exiting tune is on 4th beat, you then press cue on the new track to get it back to 1st beat and then press the play button so that both tracks are on the down beats together?

Yes, also if you get something wrong it will stop playing and jump back to the cue point instantly if you get off the cue button without pressing play. This also enables the chopping he showed.
