I love the idea of sending the paper through the die cutting machine to flatten it. This card is lovely. Love the soft colors.

When you spilled the embossing powder, I was like oh no! reminded me last time. I spilled mine on a desk and chair and my chair is fabric.. it was disaster. BTW your card is fabulous. I love love love your color choices. Always.

Cosmos were always a staple in my garden, and it was so nice to see them incorporated into a background stamp. Love how you teach painting, makes it seem effortless (except for me, lol). Your card is beautiful and I love the background color you chose. Great job as always!

This is a wonderfully colorful card! I love how you highlighted the flower by using a little of the richer pigment around the outside and inside of the flower. Thanks for sharing this video 🌸💐🏵🤗.

Thank you Yana, a very interesting video tutorial giving us crafters tips about using a Palette watercolour sheet with a background stamp. I thought both the projects were great, different, but great. I can understand why you chose the more subtle coloured one to make the card with though. I do love SSS stained glass sentiments, they are adorable. :o)

I remember when for cards were free. Now people gladly pay good money for them. Cracks me up how much things have changed and people just go with it.

This is so beautiful Yana. I am just learning the art of water colouring but it is going very slowly. I have a water brush but it seems to let out more water than needed/wanted which I find frustrating. What water brush did you use on this? Thanks in advance.

Oooh Yana, while I love your first panel, I really love the second one that you didn't turn into a card!!! I'm a sucker for that dark background! I have a question, a while back I ordered Arches hot pressed watercolor paper and I received the ROUGH one. I've been discussing with the shop for weeks that this is not the product I ordered (hot pressed is pink, rough is orange and in my experience hot pressed is not extremely textured). Now in your video it doesn't look textured either...On the rough I wouldn't be able to stamp or draw! I'm not sure what else to tell them to prove I'm right 😕. Do you by chance have the rough one too so you could confirm it is indeed not the same product? Thanks so much! X
@Yana.Smakula6 жыл бұрын
Oh sorry! Honestly, I'd keep the rough - I actually LOVE it! True, you can't stamp on it (there's so much texture there), but think about creating galaxy background or any other background with just watercolor and no stamping. It is a fantastic product to play with. Just give it a try - you'll love this paper.

Yana Smakula thanks for the advice! I was gonna keep it but when I order hot pressed next time, I don't want them to send me the rough one again you know what I mean? Anyway, thanks a lot for confirming I'm not stupid 🤣😘
