Might have been a great idea but its so poorly executed they shouldnt even b allowed to say its been released. Looked up several articles pertaining to the delay. Please allow us to merge party chat & game chat with the option to push to talk like PC, so whilst playing competitive games or games that require call outs/info u don’t want other players to hear we can still hear/communicate with other players in the game when needed. It would be easy to implement since the PS5 controller already has a dedicated button to mute, maybe they/you could allow us to bind that to push to talk/hold to talk or vice versa (push to talk & hold to mute) it would also benefit the players that are in parties with friends but playing separate games that also require comms

@@buffgamer1017 i assume the ps5 party chat will host the discord chat using the microphone from the headset and then using the ps5 mute button on the controller to "push to talk" to the players in the game that are separate from the convo in the party chat. pretty much a momentary game chat/party chat toggle button feature. tap once to switch or push/hold for quick coms on release your back in party(discord) chat

Xbox now has that but it didn’t at first. Pretty sure PS5 will eventually get the option to join voice chats directly from Game Base, just a matter of time now.

Thank you Discord for this. Really cool now and makes gaming with other Platforms much better! But I hope this is not the End, because there is so much more potential. For example also add this function to the PS4, because a lot of people still play on PS4 and i think there will still be a lot of gamers in the future on the PS4. 2. @@darrenm.7980 I didnt know that was the only option, but when I tried it for the first time, my connection is so A dude, it was terrible and I have to stop the stream and move on to an art stream The only option to stream your games on discord is to spend $200 on a capture card to be able to share your screen play That's like spending lots of money on food for yourself or to get a new Dulesense edge controller

@@NaughtyJuri I think the point of this was to just get only VC on PS5 console, which is really fine for me tbh, I dont wanna like use my ear buds on my ipad to hear my friends and use my main big headphones plug into my PS controller to hear the game audio at the same time Now I can just hear my friends on my main headphones plug into the controller, without having the use of my ear buds on my ipad, cause all of it on PlayStation....well not all of it Although, I still have to use my iPad to look at text chat to see all memes, post, comments and art on there while playing a game or seeing a friend that wants to chat if he/she/they dosnt have a mic, multitask really, kinda why setups have two monitors now in days to see chat on one screen and play games on the other The only down side to that is if friends wanna stream games or do a watch together, now you have to use your iPad or computer to join in, which result leaving the VC on PS and switching it to your mobile or computer VC, I kinda wish they would implement share screen on discord and PS since they did that to parties on the console, but sucks that I have to switch to look at my friends doing art streams or games and have to use my earbuds again, while I'm playing And also no share screen which I mention on top

Yeah that's what I had assumed they did. I was thinking about using discord now that I have friends on other platforms and couldn't figure out where the app was or how to use it. I figured thats how it would work. Kind of sucks you have to do it over your phone or pc, but guess I shouldn't complain. At least they added it. Just would be nice if they made it work directly through the ps5 with an app. Basically make it similar to how we use the party chat

Am i missing something? How do my ps friends join the call? the only way i see it working is if they link it, join the same chat from discord (after having it linked) then transfering the call to the ps5 which is long, i think a major improvment would be if i can just invite them to join the ps party from the ps,, lmk if there is a simplier solution to this!

The call is on discord and being transmitted to the PlayStation(thus, the “Join on PlayStation” option). They’ll have to join the call on discord

From my experience so far, this really isn't good for content creators as the voice chat of your friends cannot be heard on saved PS videos, even with their settings set to "share their voice". Unless I am completely missing a setting somewhere, I couldn't get this to work. Guess I'll be sticking to PS Party chat.
