I watched your old video about this, and recently started baying so gave it a shot. I was happy to see that it worked like a charm, even from my phone. It's nice because if you buy off of eBay you get the discounted shipping too. Just have to get the weight in the listing. Asking for a scale for Christmas. 😊 Nice way of keeping track of multiple items too! Good to see this revision! And I'm learning: See cool, buy cool!

The QR Code is the fastest and the easiest way to ship. That's how I do it every time

Sean, the code is also sent to your email address on file. I just pull up my email and they are all there along with the order it's for. I don't have a printer and have been using QR codes for a while. Generally I mail 5 or less packages a day so it works. If you have more than that it might get complicated at the post office. Now I can actually use the post office self service to print out the label by scanning the QR code. The one problem I've encountered is that combined shipping does not print off a QR code or at least I haven't figured it out yet.

Good to know, thanks, Shane. I kinda hate taping my printed labels on because I have to walk back and forth across the house from packaging area to computer and scale and back to printer. This might take a step out. But I also can't stand waiting in line at the post office while some has a long discussion about what stamps the post office is offering for the holidays. They know me, so I can skip the line and put my prepaid and addressed packages on the counter and they save the receipt for me.

It seems as though every time I go to the post office, there is someone ahead of me who either can't figure out how to box up something and are standing there with a box, expecting the clerks to provide the tape and sometimes the box, as well. And yes, the holiday stamps. I got some the other day, but I just pointed to the pic on the wall of the snow globe stamps and said, "Gimme a book of those." But then, I'm in there almost every single day, so I don't need to stand there asking questions. I do try to remember that I live in a small town, and I can get through quickly, even at Christmas. When I lived in Tampa, I was working 80 hours a week and I would get off work at 5:30am, go home and wait until the post office opened at 8:30 am, trying desperately to stay awake, then I would put all my packages in a little cart I have, and I would stand in line for 45 minutes at the Tampa Post Office. And it was a good little haul from my house....the Tampa post office. NOW, in this small town, the post office is 3 blocks from my house, and I usually can get through in no time. So I try not to stress, but you know, you get used to something and always want it to be better. But when I'm stressing because I have one person ahead of me who is slow, I try to remember that I never have to wait over a few minutes, I could walk to the post office in a pinch, and I do not have to rush home to sleep in the daytime because I have to be at work that night to work a 16 hour shift! Life is good.

A label printer will save you a few steps, they are a lifesaver, I have, nt cut and taped a label since the late 90s,they are thermal and use Peel & stick labels, it's like night and day

I find its easier to have free USPS pick up at my house 6 days a week.

Thanks, Shane, for the info. I use the app on my phone all the time to print shipping labels. I knew there was a QR option and I’m glad you explained it in case my printer isn’t working. Nice to have some options.

@@pamprier4710 I pull up the order and it says purchase shipping label so I click that link and then follow the prompts to print. I have a wireless printer so I can do that. I just print to regular copy paper and tape the label on.

​@@reginastock5546I'll eventually get a wireless printer. Meanwhile, I'm using an old-school one, given to me by a friend who retired and no longer needed it. "Free" is always good. Lol.

That's good news! I've been writing the addresses on my packages...neatly, but still. I just got a printer that a friend brought me, but it doesn't have cables and I'm too lazy to look for cables from previous printers. I'm going to have to figure this out though because I hate being called a "Boomer." LOL

Test drove this yesterday on a Priority Mail flat rate box containing a bunch of magazines. Worked well but something I could tell my trusty PO clerk really doesn’t do a lot so might be a bit of a balancing act there…

I have a thermal ink printer which I love and prefer to use over this particular method. However, there have been times when I have lost power during a storm and the QR code option would definitely come in handy in times like these. I think it would get confusing if you have more than two or three packages, as you said.

How can I get a QR code for COMBINED orders? (2 orders shipping to same address). I only see the PRINT option after I combine the orders.

If I understand your question- I would do the option for QR and print. All items are combined and in one box, correct? So the QR covers that. Then on the print label you can get the track number for cut and paste on the upload tracking. If the items are recombined on the eBay ship page then the single QR should update tracking to all.

Hi Shane. I don’t know how big your PO is but many have a self serve kiosk inside. Many of those now are set up to read the QR code by putting your screen shot up to the scan reader on the machine.

@davechaisson9590 my best PO is small and doesn’t have the self serve but that is great to know for other locations!
