Thank you for useful and handy food idioms clip. I would like to add other food idioms. I am not sure if there are commonly used or not. 1. To be the apple of sb’s eye - to be very important to somebody else, to love somebody, for example: His youngest daughter is the apple of his eye. 2. Spill the beans, ex. Don’t spill the beans (don’t reveal the secret) 3. To bring home the bacon, 4. To be couch potato, for example Our 9-year-old son is a real couch potato he wants to spend all his free time watching television. 5. To be a glutton for work, for example He's a real treasue of the company because he's a glutton for work. 6. To be a hot potato - difficult problem that on one wants to deal with it, for example The issue has become a political hot potato. 7. Like two peas in a pod - if two people are almost the same, for example Jack and Ema like the same films and books. They are like two peas in a pod. 8. Carrot and stick approach - a method to motivate someone by offering rewards or punishment 9. Take it with a pinch of salt - you should not always completely believe what other people say. For example: salesman often exaggerate, so I take what they say with a pinch of salt. 10. take the biscuits, - it is surprising 11. jam on it - to have totally unreasonable demands, for example: what more do you want - jam on it? 12. It is a dog’s breakfast - something that is badly done

I have invested my money on two different projects as I don't wanna put all my eggs in one basket. I could have bitten off more than I can chew if I had taken economics instead of English literature as my subject in university. I needed to learn how to drive the car but couldn't attend driving course because of the current pandemic, I am in a pickle I think. It can be so long if I narrate, but in a nutshell, Emma is a natural talent whom I love so much. Some students are trying to buttering up their teachers in order to get extra mark in the exam. Thanks, Emma, for your lesson.

(After reading a comment about helpful subtitles) I wanna(want to) give you an advice, dear subscribers. If you wanna speak English clearly and confidently, you gotta(have to, or not in this case - have got) listen to the speaker and try not to read subtitles, because in real conversation you won`t have written speaker`s words and it`ll be difficult and confusing for you. Emma(if you`re reading my comment), you`ve got the best pronunciation I`ve ever heard and it`s easy to listen to you, thanks for your lessons.

Emma you have no ideia how I do like your videos. I found you so clear when you are speaking, although I am familiar with Australian accent because I already have been in Australia over a year taking my uni exchange I think there is something really special in the way that you speak to, I can not to point it out but what I know you are the best English teacher that I met so far. You are so creative and the way that you try to create an interaction between you and your audience makes easy to memorise what you are teaching. I'm planning to move back to Australia again and take my master's degree there, therefore I will take again an English exam very soon so,, I'm watching to your videos and practicing the imitation technique regarding to improve my speaking skill.

I don't usually use any idiom in my speaking or maybe I do so but not really being aware of it. However, I got your favourites food idioms are pretty informative, but the 3rd one (to be in a pickle) and 4th one (to bite off more than one can chew are very unfamiliar to me. I need to practise using them. Thanks teacher Emma.

Someone who's really great and amazing you can say: "You're the berries." After you get a promotion at the job and a rise in pay you can say: "Getting the promotion was easy as pie, but the pay rise was the cherry on top." Yes, there are so many existing and so many you can make up ad nauseam. It's impossible to just rattle them all off.
