Good work, but question: Is there a file or folder which has the static object names indexed? I've been using files like the "types" file as an index when editing things like AI loadouts and whatnot, and I'd like to know if I could do the same for patrols. Having an indexed list of the types of static objects without having to enter the server and find it myself would be really nice.

Sounds like a good way to practice with the ai.. getting used to how they act and react. I noticed they can see you usually before you see them. Like even through a scope. Very alert.

recent update has broken the AI/Zombies in this mod. making zombies not attack you after alerted. Is there a fix for it yet if you've encountered this issue?

Is fix by going to “expansion” then go to “aipatrolsettings” and in the part that says “enabled” change it to 0,save it run the server close it and change it back to 1. This is what worked for me.

Is there any way to alter your faction in any settings? I've added an AI patrol around my base, but East, West & Mercenaries attack me on sight, Guards when I lift my hands or weapon and Passive are just too weak around infected. I'd like to set my faction to east or west if possible.

For some reason when i change the AiPatrolSettings.json my server doesnt register it it only registers the default waypoints ever after they r deleted. completely stumped. like i could delete all the code and save a blank sheet and itll still spawn the same default load outs and waypoints.

I commented this on one of ur video already but the coolest thing u can do with this feature is that u can make AI missions like in Arma 2 All u need is some kind of mission mod that is using object spawning... i use KOTH (king of the hill)... in this mod u spawn any object on each mission...i used book bible because i dont need any object actually and its small and it will blend in the flag... and u just basically put that object into AI_patrols config and u spawn AI on it Personally i find it the best to use Shamans as they dont attack animals or zeds and other way around and also u can set formation so they arent just standing on place. AI are still dumb is some ways but i think they are better than zeds

Have you tried out Dayz Expansion quests yet? you can create missions that spawn ai at a specific locations you want when the quest is accepted along with some other types of missons. its pretty cool

@@KeepKushy i am in process of setting up my server. But i have quest loaded on server but i havent had time to configure it yet. My only problem with that is that i basically want mission style system with AI. Quests camps looks cool but its not entirelly what i am looking for. I want something like airdrops...people can see its spawning at certain location and there is loot chest with loot after they clear the AI. I just loved classic AI missions from Arma 2. It was fun and better than spawning zeds But i will certainlly take a look.

@@PavolNemec-l4vi dig it ive actually done the ai care package lol you just have to replace the zombie spawns on the care package with the ai u want and your all good the expasion github actually sorta tells you how ........sorta

Hi , i have AI on Namalsk,, i used to work fine,, like u get with in an distance they will fire at u,, but now after update they will not fire ,,they just go towards u and try hit u with the gun , seems to me like they cant reload the gun anymore,, if u cnock one out and take his gun u can see its loaded in mag but not in chamber,,, i also notoiced that they will fire at u if u are on the high ground but not when u are in front of them,,, they also shoot at the zombies but not u,,, any ideas ? :)

I spawned in a helicopter and I guess the AI tried attacking it cause I could hear gunfire from somewhere. I'm slowly learning. I decided to use all of the expansion mods they are easy to install but than I learned they are not so easy to setup. Like I went to Green Mountain to the market but the npc had nothing for sale. I'm unsure how to populate it to have some stuff for sale. I suppose I could just spawn stuff in and sell it to him. I think the Dr Jones trader mod is a bit better. This market might be player generated as in it will only sell from stock players have sold to it.

There is a steep learning curve thats for sure and there is almost no updated resources available. Sometimes experimenting with stuff is how i learned how to get this working. Now i have factions and can recruit the ai and they all drop loot like real players.

@@Procedurallydegeneratedjohn Yes I have a validator, not sure why you need it in all honesty. When I edit any file within Dayz or Rust I make a notation showing the original line.

@@KoolBreeze420 i take it youve never made a loadout for the AI then....you need to copy and paste stuff over and over to add clothing and loot inside the clothing on an ai to make them lootable. Its very easy to miss a comma or bracket and that can break the AI.

@@ApexAgents my issue was that in the ai cfg where you put your steam ID, I put it in brackets and not both brackets and quotes as directed. For example it was supposed to look like ["1234etc"] but I had it as [1234etc] which is invalid string in the coding language the mods are written in

I think the mod is a bit broken currently. They don't seem to spawn on objects at all, and the custom patrols I set up spawn no where near where I set the coordinates. On top of that, the patrols that are spawning are using a loadout that isn't correct for the area they are spawning in. x_x

Thats odd, I just set up a server and have had the AI working as they should. As for it seeming like they are wondering off from the path, you need to set "MaxSpreadRadius" from 100 to something like 10 in order for them to stay on path, otherwise they can wonder 100 meters off the path you set.

I have tried several times to get a server on Nitrado via your affiliate link, and then without it. Every time my card issuer flags it as fraud and freezes my PayPal account for 24 hours.

Think we should make walkAItraders with a bagpack full of random stuff. So the trader is spreading very dificult Loot over the map. For me.. i dont like trader based servers in dayz. They are all heartless nonsenseplaced immersion killers.. they rob playtime and take to much tactical landsize because everyone knows the trader thing. but a.. walking trader? 💁🏻‍♂️ this could end in love with 😌 Do you think this is possible?

@@RitterLanzehot All of that could be good but like i said 90% of dayz community are just kids that wont bother playing on servers like urs. They dont want stuff like that I thought i can make it too first time when i created my own server but players tried it and left. Thats the problem if u want public server u need to basically give up on ur dreams and blend in that reality But like i said to many players. try it and u understand what i am saying.
