Hello Ivy! Thank you for this video. I have been practicing feng shui for 20 years and I still get frustrated when applying my Kua directions and using the flying star charts for each year/month. How do I find the balance. For example the Southeast sector in the BaGua represents total loss for my Kua number 6. I feel like Im constantly reinventing the wheel.

Hi Kristy for flying star I use Master Sang I agree, I now only pay attention to the most low energy sector and apply the remedy and most importantly avoid renovations in that sector for the year and I spend time and apply enhancements in the auspicious sector. Remember too the energy weakens as we move throughout the year.

When you say one should place the compass to face the door/ street.. what if there is no street towards the outside of your door? For example, if you open the door then my neighbours are there. So when you say 'street facing', do you simply mean out the front door? I know that the flat is North facing which means it gets tons of sun. I would do it for the general home and if there is an area you are specifically working on you can do a mini bagua layout for room that is applicable. Example bedroom for love/relationships, or if child is having issues children’s. Or kitchen for health.

Or if you are having trouble with a specific area then you would see how that works for you specifically. Then I also take into account if I will be doing any major renovations that year. In the end you still have so much influence in your life “luck” and the rest is well - just life 😊

I would also ask you where are you feeling most challenged in life South is “fame and reputation” or in this modern times impact and influence. If you feel that you are being as impactful and influential where it matters to you, then I wouldn’t be concerned. As always with bathrooms keep the toilet lids down and the door shut. You can also have a picture of a long wood tree adding for upward energy wood is a nice buffer to quell downward energy while still fuelling fire. Feng Shui is very personal and use it as a tool for where you feel challenged and also don’t fix what’s not broken and most importantly don’t create any more worry (we all have enough after all) and we can’t worry about the things we cannot change 💜

Hi, maybe a strange question, is it true that for example when your house door is positioned north the dominant energy of the whole house is water? So for each room we need to decorate according to the other elements but the overall decoration in the house because of the dominant water element must be metal or wood to help the natural water elememt in the whole house ? Hello! Yes that is a way to do it. You also want to know which way your front door faces, standing outside your front door and looking out that is your house’s facing direction. Yes absolutely it is great just to do your bedroom, usually you do specific room when you are working on a particular area of your life or if that is really “your room” if you share the house with others but it’s your win private room. Is this the case for you or what area of life are you looking improving

And then if you have a specific issue you go do a mini-bagua for that area for example; bedroom for focus on love/relationship or Office for career; or Kitchen for health. that is strictly Western style Feng Shui. I started with Western, I like it for the simplicity and you are not taking into account the compass directions at all. I found power in using the directions, so this Feng Shui is Classical. Some people prefer Western because of its simplicity. Others really resonate using the directions. I would suggest experiment with one first. and see how it works. The elements are the same for each section of life. Western does not use the compass at all. I really love the compass directions, sun rises in east, sets in west. North winds versus southwinds - for me the energy is different, so I have chosen Classical over western. However some people still think Western is powerful. Truly it is a personal preference.

This one is a little tricky as you have square off your layout and it depends on what you can put I the middle part of your house. I can see how it’s confusing…Southeast is wealth area - is that what your are most looking for? Elements are wood, then water, preferably no metal. Colors can be these colors and purple has typically been used here as well. South is Recognition (Fame) although I don’t think you need Fame to be wealthy however this is Yang energy meaning that you may need to be “outward” “be visible” Southeast/South for the purpose of wealth can go hand in hand. Although all areas work has a whole - Feng Shui is about non-duality, it’s harmony and wholeness - it’s true essence is the nature of the Tao - the flow of life cycles. South is fire what the colors of fire. Southwest is Earth - quartz is a stone Earth Element - it doesn’t necessarily matter the color - the actual elements hold a lot of energy - Crystals energy - because southwest is love/relationship- and earth - love and relationships color is Pink - then rose Quartz is wonderful here. The most important thing is what are you needing in your life the most? What can you do to harmonize your energy, your home, your personal needs? Get crystal clear on your personal desires and what you need to manifest first and then work with the Feng Shui principles and Bagua however work gently, stay fluid, go with the flow and what is resonating with you the most. Feng Shui is a great tool, for the home specifically but it is your home, your personal sanctuary, use it as a guide for your personal journey. And always do what is energetically aligned for you.
