What I found after leaving this sort of teachings behind is that there is a real live God in heaven waiting for us to discover him so he can start blessing us (luck as you call it). He gave us Jesus to show us his living miraculous nature. One to one with the Living God is far more rewarding and you get a guarenteed passage back to heaven with Jesus who paved us the way, so we don't have to worry about a thing. Omg I had this experience too. I was a teenager when this happened to me when I got ran over by a car that knocked me unconscious.
