How fun! I bought some fiber paper and felt for making jewelry slides as shown at 6:00. Never thought to use it for making impressions or raised shapes in an otherwise flat piece. Gonna have to try little pcs in my microwave kiln. TFS!

Perfect! Satisfied several questions I had. One last question is which side of the thin fire is the right side?

If fired on fiber paper or kiln wash it acts as a protector from the glass and shelf.

Thank you very much. I wanted to ask you if the glass only bends with heat or there are some materials

Do you have to use kiln shelves in your kiln?

There is a point in using rigidizer; One of the main reason I like using the fiber paper is that it replaces the need for kiln washing. I've saturated a section of felt with rigidizer. The felt section was cut first to make slumping holes once dry this felt is rigid enough to beplaced on kiln posts to allow the glass to slump threw. . The big point here is that once the felt is saturated then dried glass will stick to and it must be kiln washed to prevent the glass from sticking to it.

Can you use 1/8 inch fiber paper on the bottom of your kiln instead of kiln wash?

It might be prudent to mention that one should be careful with these products and not have scraps flying around that can harm your lungs.
