Hi and thanks for the video. I downloaded the example and it runs okay. However, I was trying to reproduce it using the same data but I do not know how to generate the same plots. How do I do that? Is there a tutorial for that? I am new to ADS. Thanks!

Well this presentation does not tell HOW the fixture only s-parameter was captured. We all know removing it would have good correlation with stimulation. 2X thru could be a method but it still cannot mimic actual physical structure which will have via and connector footprint...

This still doesn't tell how to accurately model dut or fixture for correlation..

The question is what is new in what you are presenting? Such de-embedding methodology existed for ages, using VNA's gating or IConnect

Markus Bingle What’s new in this approach is the accuracy that comes with the mathematically rigorous S-Parameter de-embedding. It removes fixture losses and resonances from both the reflected return loss as well as transmitted insertion loss TDT paths.

Accuracy is in the eye of the beholder. If you check the slides you will see that S11 is worse at lower frequency, compared with high frequency, after deemedding. It is not a common case in return loss measurement. Reflections are more likely to be visible at smaller wavelength. Please note that measurement shows that as well.. though it appears as a basic topology, Something is wrong in calibration and setup. One thing I'd like to add that it would be nice to have the software name used in the beginning of the presentation, so we know!!Good Job

+Markus Bingle I am the CTO of Wild River Tech. Markus, your not correct regarding VNA's or Connect (I was the Apps guy at TDA Systems before Tek bought them). This is a measure based modeling approach but it uses a bifurcated model of the THRU, and secondly uses both time and frequency domain optimization methods. VNA method uses time domain gating methods or proprietary AFR algorithm (Keysight), which is very different. IConnect modeled time domain topological only. 3rd the method also utilizes models of the t-lines for THRU so it is completely scalable, including the loss portion. It was really tough to do that in Connect.
