In this video, I share how you can use garlic and ginger supplements as an alternative to antibiotics and as a natural growth promoter for more broiler weight gain and general performance in your chickens. It also includes the inclusion level and combining or mixing ratio of garlic to ginger. I also highlight garlic and ginger benefits to your chickens.
Why You Should Use This Supplement.
As you all know, feed is one of the major costs in poultry production as 80% of the expenditure is incurred in purchasing feed, However, to ensure feed efficiency and utilization, feed additives are added to feed, and one of such additives is antibiotics, which are also used to prevent and treat diseases.
However, over the years, there have been some issues regarding the use of antibiotics in livestock, which have led to its ban in several countries around the world. One such issue is the problem of drug resistance in both bacteria and humans. This is where natural growth promoters come to play as an alternative to antibiotics, and many successful results have been recorded.
Garlic and ginger are one of the plant extracts that have been researched extensively, as a potential alternative to antibiotics.
Although, there is still room for improvement as many of these herbs still have some lapses. Therefore, it will be better to combine these herbs for a better result, and one such combination is garlic and ginger which I have covered in this video.
