In this video, we will discuss how to set up an email account under your own domain name using cPanel web hosting management software that comes with many popular hosts. Then we will dig into how to use your custom domain email address within Gmail so you can manage multiple email accounts from a single personal Gmail inbox.
The steps to create your new email address are:
1) Login to cPanel and then click on Email Accounts - 1:00
2) Create a new email account, then click Connect Devices - 2:13
3) Login to your new email account online through Webmail - 4:20
4) Go to your Gmail account, click the gear icon and select Settings 5:23
5) Click the Accounts and Import tab - 5:31
6) Find the "Send mail as" section and click Add another email address, then fill with your outgoing mail server information (SMTP) - 5:49
7) Find the Check mail from other account section and click Add a mail account, then fill with your incoming mail server information (POP3) - 8:10
You'll want to test everything is working by sending an email from a separate domain and Gmail account and make sure it arrives in your inbox. Then hit the "Reply" button and see if you're sending from the correct domain name.
That's all there is to set up your custom domain email address within Gmail!

how can I do this from an outlook? I was given an email with a unique domain name, but I want to use it in Gmail so I can use the Gdrvie. Any help is humbly appreciated :)

If you want to connect an Outlook email address to Gmail you'll have to go through a similar process to what's in this tutorial. You should Google something like "outlook gmail settings" and browse a few of those for instructions. Funny enough I'm dealing with an Outlook email for one of my clients, but the domain is under another person's control, and we're having an issue. I've seen more issues with Outlook than most other email platforms!

When I automatically forward to my Gmail Mailbox all messages received at my 'domain name email address' via an Outlook Exchange server service that transits through GoDaddy, i receive many messages labelled "Undeliverable". Each message is readable but it contains a long long text of "Diagnostic information for administrators" first. Irritating. The real message is located at the very bottom. It's apparently linked to this issue: The error linked to Fix email delivery issues for error code 550 4.4.7 in Exchange Online.

Yea this probably doesn't import that infrastructure. You'd have create filters/labels within Gmail... I have about 200 of these! The good news is they are probably more powerful via Gmail than your web mail provider.

Why pop3 and not simply email forwarding? With email forwarding you get the emails instantly and it's easier to set up.

I often recommend this instead since it is easier. The primary reason you'd want an email account is so you can integrate sending under that domain from a 3rd-party service, i.e. Gmail.

This is a free personal account. They have a paid service (GSuite) for businesses who want to operate with all employees using their own domain along with Google's tools. If you're an individual though, this works on free account with multiple domains.

Not for Gmail. I still use personal Gmail to this day... but you do need the domain/hosting which costs anywhere between $3 - $30/month. You can go cheap if this is all it's used for or you have a basic low-traffic website in addition to the email address.
