Hi! Regretfully I don't have a template for this (like a board roster template?). Honestly, I've always just used Word documents for that or a CRM. You might want to check out board source. They have lots of great free resources for boards!

Is it secure for the volunteers?

The beautiful think about google is that you can restrict WHO has access to WHAT! So, it's a secure as google, but if you're using Google Sheets as intended for volunteer management, it does mean other volunteers would see people's names if they've signed up - similar to an in-person calendar or sign-up sheet. Only people YOU SEND IT TO will have access! Hopefully that helps!
